After 27 years of flowing into the ocean......it stopped. Well of course. We came. This is an active vent with Carbon dioxide and ash venting.

Here we look from the top of the cliff, seeing the old flow into the ocean. We are heading down to the shore here.

More pahoehoe......the flowing. And look at the little green things beginning to get a foothold. This was lava from the 80's.

Looking back up the hill, we can see the difference between the aa, the rough dark black, and the pahoehoe, the lighter that reflects the light.
